IPL TREATMENT (INTENSE PULSED LIGHT) IS USED FOR:

  • removing troublesome hair on the skin
  • removing superficial blood vessels in the face
  • removing pigmentation changes, freckles, liver spots and stools
  • acne
  • rejuvenating the skin

NOTE!
Avoid sun exposure and self-tanning products for about two weeks before and after treatment.
Use a sunscreen with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) 50.
Also avoid skin irritation, as example sauna 24hours after treatment.

Hair removal

Hair can be permanently removed from, for example, the face, armpits, bikini area, back, legs and tighs.
The light extends to the hair follicle and warms it to about 70 degrees. Due to the heat, the protein in the hair cell and folicle is destroyd. The effect of IPL is on dark hair because it contains pigment. So absolutely blond hair cannot be removed.
A new treatment can be done after 4 weeks. Generally, 3 - 6 treatments are needed to achieve complete hair loss in the treated area.

Before treatment, shave your hair short (max 3 mm). Between treatments hair should be shaved normally. Hair should not be epilated or waxed for two weeks before or after treatment.

Pigment removal

IPL treatment can be used to treat skin pigmentation changes, freckles, liver spots and stools. Hyperpigmentation is caused by the proliferation of melanin pigment-producing melanocyte cells. Light is absorbed into melanin-producing cells, targets and violates melanin. The pigment rises to the surface of the skin within a few days and the skin may become scaly. Removal of pigment sometimes requires up to 3-6 treatments, about every month.

Vessel removal

The most common treatment areas are the nose, cheeks, neck and chest.
Light is absorbed into the blood vessels and converted into heat. The blood in the blood vessels clots and the blood vessel disappears.
During the first day you may experience mild redness and a feeling of warmth in the skin.

Acne

IPL affects bacterial acne (dermatitis).
Treatments are needed 3 - 4 times about every three weeks

Skin rejuvenation

The light effect of IPL treatment extends to a deep layer of skin, the dermis. By stimulating the vascular floor, collagen regeneration is increased.
Treatments are recommended 2-6 times about every 3-4 weeks
