Mattila Jaakko

I graduated with a Licentiate of Medicine degree from the University of Turku in 2009 and qualified as a specialist in ophthalmology at the University of Helsinki in 2014. I have worked at the HUS Eye Clinic (HYKS Silmäklinikka) in its various units, including as a ward physician in the cataract surgery unit and the anterior segment surgery unit. I also work as a consulting ophthalmologist at the Institute of Aviation Medicine. I have authored publications on corneal diseases and Meretoja’s disease.

My areas of special expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of corneal and anterior segment diseases. You are also welcome to my practice for other matters related to eye health.
