Mattila Jaakko

I graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Turku in 2009 and as an ophthalmologist from the University of Helsinki in 2014. I have worked in different departments of Helsinki University Hospital including the departments of cataract and anterior segment surgery. I work as a consulting ophthalmologist in the Aeromedical Center.

I have written publications conserning corneal diseases and Meretoja syndrome (Familial amyloidosis, Finnish type). I have given oral presentations concerning my research in several international Ophthalmological congresses.

My speciality in ophthalmology is cataract surgery and diagnostics and treatment of corneal and anterior segment diseases. However, I treat the whole eye and you are most welcome to visit me regarding any eye disease or symptom.
