Mikkola Tomi Sakari

I work as a Chief Physician at HUS Women’s Hospital, where I am responsible for all gynecological surgical services. In addition, I am a urogynecologist and oversee the training of urogynecologists both at the Women’s Hospital and nationally.

Through extensive clinical experience and research work, my particular expertise lies in urogynecological pelvic floor disorders and their surgical treatment. Common pelvic floor conditions include childbirth-related injuries, urinary incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.

Another key area of my expertise is menopausal health and the management of menopausal hormone therapy.
