Syvänne Mikko

I am a specialist in cardiology. I have previously served as Chief Physician in the Department of Cardiology, Helsinki University Central Hospital, and as Medical Director of the Finnish Heart Association. I examine and treat all adults’ heart symptoms (e.g. chest pain, arrhythmias, dyspnoea) and diseases (e.g. coronary heart disease, atrial fibrillation, valve diseases, heart failure). I also specialize in preventive therapy, such as treatment of high blood pressure and cholesterol problems. I have participated in writing national Current Care guidelines for treating these risk factors.
