Kiuru-Enari Sari

After matriculation at Deutsche Schule Helsinki  I studied medicine at Freiburg University, Germany,  until 1983.  After working first as a general practitioner in Åre, Sweden, I returned 1985 to my home city starting at Helsinki University Hospital (HUH) with internal medicine, followed later by specialization in neurology. Clinical work combined since 1987 with very interdisciplinary research gave an excellent possibility for continuous learning not solely in neurology but even medical sciences more generally. Working several decades at HUH,  private doctor's appointments, and scientific research at HUH/ HU has given me experience to diagnose, treat and support my patients. I am happy to serve my patients  in Finnish, Swedish, English as well as German language. During the last years I have worked much with many different hereditary and non-hereditary neuromuscular  (nerve and muscle) often rare disorders.
